Under the slogan “Franchises that inspire passion”, this event will bring together entrepreneurs, investors and franchisors to analyse trends and opportunities in the franchise and retail sectors.
- As part of Franchise Week, it will feature exclusive activities such as FranquiTour, the Emerging Franchises Marathon and Gastrofranquicia, as well as a showroom and networking sessions. The Franchise Innovation Summit (FIS) has announced the dates for its next edition, which will take place on 15 and 16 October 2025 in one of the most exclusive and functional venues at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid.
Under the slogan “FRANCHISES THAT INSPIRE PASSION” and promoted by the Spanish Franchise Association, FIS2025 is positioning itself as the unmissable event for the entire professional ecosystem of entrepreneurs, investors, franchisees, franchisors, retailers, service companies, industry professionals, business schools… focusing on the analysis and development of the most innovative trends and opportunities in the world of franchising and retail.
Built on innovation and technology, FIS serves as a tool for the sector, aiming to revitalise and raise the profile of a rapidly growing industry. It will also be the means by which to generate business opportunities across various models of expansion and development between franchises and partners. All this takes place within a space offering content of the highest value and specialisation, thanks to its dynamic conference format, and serves as a major hub for sector-specific networking.
The organisers of the Franchise Innovation Summit (FIS) are already working on their strategic priorities, strengthening their network of partnerships with national, regional and local business associations and organisations in ‘opportunity cities’; whilst also building FIS’s international standing as the sector’s epicentre between Latin America and Europe.
Franchise Week
FIS forms part of Franchise Week, which transforms Madrid into the epicentre of commerce and franchising for that week, offering a key platform to connect franchisees, franchisors, entrepreneurs, service providers, investors and international operators. In addition to the FIS – Franchise Innovation Summit, the week will be packed with exclusive activities such as the FranquiTour, a tour of the city’s most successful franchises; the Emerging Franchises Marathon, which will showcase the most innovative business models; and Gastrofranquicia, a culinary tour of Madrid to discover the city’s hidden gems through the major brands in the F&B sector. The Franchise Cities Institutional Networking event will also take place, recognising the “FIS Ambassadors” and highlighting the sector’s leaders. A unique event to explore new opportunities, innovate and boost the expansion of the franchise business.
FIS2025 will also offer specialised services and advice to streamline and promote both national development and international expansion, as well as the viability and financial support for each project.
The communication, promotion and publicity plan for the in-person event is also being rolled out, whilst FIS365 is being reinforced as a major digital platform for sector-specific networking. With a view to providing the most comprehensive and engaging content of value in the months leading up to FIS2025, the key themes are already being designed to offer all professional attendees a memorable summit on 15 and 16 October.
At the same time, the FIS2025 organisers will, in a few weeks’ time, open the application process so that all franchising and service brands can participate in the FIS showroom area, in a functional, straightforward format that maximises return on investment. This will include a pre-event management service and a schedule of appointments to be held during the two-day trade event.
The Riyadh Air Metropolitan Stadium will also provide the setting for unique experiences, both social and professional, which will serve as an incentive to attract both national and international professionals.
